I'm not back at work till Thursday, so I'm going to be bored, it seems all my plans ran out over the past 12 days, like Adam's back at work now, so can't hang around with him randomly. Can't wait for next week though, well, the next two weeks, because it's Easter, so all the students will be back home, which means Wednesday/Friday & Saturday nights will be busy again, huzzah!

It's been a pain in the arse the past few days though, because my time off has got to that stage where you start talking to yourself. Any time longer than a week is just a complete pain, fair enough, if you've got someone to talk to, actual flesh and blood, but my 'rents have been working, all my friends have MSN so there's actually no need to meet up and talk to them, or ring them, unless it's something worth stepping outside into the depths of Hell - it's been shocking weather, the nicest day we've had is today, and that's because it's not raining.

During the day it's fine, you can go outside and see things, even if it's something as mundane as going to the shop for the copy of The Guardian and a Dairy Milk, but the nights get to you - no-one wants to come out, because there's no point, there's not really any nightlife during the week, and when you're saving money for Download, you don't want to spend excess cash. So talking to yourself (not that I've ever done it...) becomes a viable option just to keep the deafening silence at bay.

And that's the worst thing about being off, you sit down and think "i'm finally going to watch those DVD's I've been meaning to watch for AGES" so you find the DVD's, you look at them then the urge to watch Nosferatu, or The Machinist disappear because "I can't be arsed". I've gotta be in a certain mood. Everything becomes boring, films, music, tv, you want something new and exciting to listen to, and nothing ever satisfies that urge, so you go out, buy new music, new DVD's, and let them pile up for the next time you're off, or wait for it to be on TV because there's nothing else to watch!

Like on iTunes, I bought some new music, 15 tracks in all, and I've been listening to them over and over again, because it's something new, they're still fresh - I only bought them like 5 days ago, and already I've listened to them between 20 and 30 times.

You get to that stage where you can't even be arsed getting dressed because you know full well the most adventurous thing you're going to do that day is be busy sitting down. You just walk around in your boxers, any t-shirt that you randomly find and a dressing gown drinking a glass of milk, then you look at yourself in the mirror and realise you're starting to look like The Dude from The Big Lebowski, but you're so apathetic, that you don't really care because, who's going to see you?

One of the good things is that I have been writing a lot more though, I think this is what I do instead of talking to myself - it's much better, don't you think? People, namely my parents, or friends, won't think I'm weird... well, as weird.

I've been contemplating doing something really geeky though, geeky even for me, I want to redesign my myspace and I've found myself staying up till like 5am looking and trying different techniques for a unique layout, I need to get out more - but it's cold and wet out there!
